Controversy has arisen over the tricolor at the press conference of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Union Minister Prahlad Patel has written a letter to the CM and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal regarding this. The letter states that the tricolor placed in Kejriwal’s background is not good according to the flag code. The Union Minister alleges that the tricolor is used in a wrong way in Arvind Kejriwal’s press conference.
Allegations of raising green bars
Prahlad Patel says that while Arvind Kejriwal has been holding a press conference for the last few days, green stripes have been increased on white stripes. The Union Minister says that the white part appears to be reduced by adding the white part in the middle of the flag. This is not reflected in the use of the standards given in Part 1.3 of Part I mentioned in the Indian Flag Code, as specified by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Can not be used for decoration
The Union Minister alleged that the dignity of the flag was not taken care of. He said that the national flag cannot be used for decoration. Prima facie it seems to me that the national flag has been used for decoration. Therefore a letter has been written about this. In the context of the objections raised by the Union Minister, we know what is the Flag Code and what are the rules related to it.
