In Punjab, new cases of corona virus are still being reported every day. There are also deaths of patients. In view of this, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has once again extended the mini lockdown in the state till 10 June. While giving this information on his Twitter account, CM has written that this decision has been taken to reduce the Corona case in Punjab.

Seeing improvement in the overall condition of the corona, the Chief Minister has also directed to resume OPD operations at all GMCHs in the state along with resumption of elective surgeries in both government and private hospitals. Earlier, unnecessary surgery was banned on April 12 to ensure adequate availability of beds and oxygen for severe Kovid cases.

‘Will strictly follow the Kovid protocol’
Amarinder Singh said that the administration of all the districts will strictly follow the restrictions regarding the Kovid-19 as per the guidelines set by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the State Government. Amarinder Singh also expressed concern about the increasing cases of black fungus or mucraemycosis. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also ordered the District Magistrates to make food kits available in isolation centers.
